I am a sucker for reality game shows. Australian Survivor is my guilty pleasure and I often watch and think, “Yeah, I could do this” when I am in no way capable of surviving even the slightest inconvenience, let alone 50+ stranded in Samoa.
More recently I watched Squid Game: The Challenge, a real-life game show based on the wildly popular TV series Squid Game. Upon finishing the series, I was googling how to apply for the next season.
Well, no need! Immersive Gamebox, a brand-new attraction concept launching in Sydney on 21 December will host eight free-standing Gameboxes, with over 13 games to choose from including Squid Game, Angry Birds, PAW Patrol, Shaun the Sheep, Ghostbusters and a new thrilling ‘AI Nightmare.’
There’s something for everyone, and each Gamebox accommodates two to six players per session so you can share the experience with your friends and family.
Merlin Entertainments general manager Richard Dilly says they can’t wait to open their doors in December so guests can discover these amazing spaces where teamwork, laughter, and excitement reign supreme.
“We can’t wait for Sydneysiders to step into a world where imagination knows no bounds and adventure awaits at every digital turn,” he said.
“Immersive Gamebox brings an exciting game lineup and interactive experiences that will bring friends closer together while creating unforgettable memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
“These spaces aren’t just for gamers; they’re for friends, families, and even corporate groups to take fun to the next level.”
